How you can really really really be successful at earning cash on the net with paid surveys and reviews?
This is my article on Ciao Reviews. If you’d like to see my article on Ciao Surveys click here
I’d like to apologise for the title but it would appear the phrase ‘how to ‘really’ make money online’ has been coined by the next wave of con artists and pyramid schemers, so I have to step up my game! Unlike every other website on the Internet ‘reviewing’ money-making sources, you’ll see no affiliate links here.
At its heart is a price comparison & review website, alongside a survey website. Both of which pay its users for various activities, but for some reason are kept quite separate by Ciao.
Ciao Reviews Site
Unlike Surveys and other forms of money making on the Internet; the vast majority of ‘paid to review’ websites are legitimate, and there are very few. Ciao.co.uk is one of them. Here’s how the business model works: Members write the reviews which draw customers to the site from google. The customers read the reviews and decide to purchase the product and use Ciao’s price comparison site to choose a store. Ciao is then paid commission by the store and so Ciao pays the users who write the reviews.
So how do you get paid? Well Ciao has a rating system in place whereby other Ciao users can rate each others reviews. And for each ‘good, excellent or outstanding’ rating you are given; you earn either 0.5p, 1p or 2p depending on how popular the product is. You can also double your earnings if you are the first user to write a review for the product. This encourages the users to review every product listed.
This clicking culture creates social circles called ‘circles of trust’ whereby users are notified when one of their trustees posts a new review, so those who are trusted by many get a good minimum level of clicks every time they write.
There is also a monthly cash amount which is divided up every month and given arbitrarily to writers who have written exceptional reviews in the month. I was awarded £5 from this fund after I’d written about 10 reviews.
Benefits of Ciao Reviews:
1. Your earnings are very dependant on how much effort you put in on Ciao. If you constantly write good quality new reviews and rate other’s reviews and leave comments and build a large circle of trust then you could stand to earn upwards of £50 per month. I have made £17 via the 12- 15 reviews I’ve written over a period of a few weeks.
2. Writing reviews is a lot more enjoyable than completing surveys.
3. If you’re on for a while then you’ll probably make some good friends too; everyone’s very friendly on there and it’s easy to get into conversation with lots of different users.
Drawbacks of Ciao Reviews:
1. If you just see the writing of reviews as a means to an end then you will find it quite draining. Rating other people’s reviews in an efficient and revenue-maximising way involves very frantic browsing for long periods of time which would also become tedious. I therefore urge you as a potential Ciao-er not to simply do this for the money!
Overall:Just like Ciao Surveys, this is a genuine way to make money on the Internet. If you’re prepared to really get into it and create a large circle of trust then you could stand to get £1 within a day for each review you write. The advantage of Ciao Reviews as apposed to Surveys is that there’s no limit to how much you can earn. Because you aren’t waiting for them to send you opportunities; you can write as many reviews as you wish.
